So! There are apparently giant caverns under the mansion! Giant caverns that need to be explored, for that matter.

Any time I think we're nearer to having this place mapped, new things pop up out of nowhere! It would be frustrating if it weren't so amazing.

I think I want to go exploring. Who's coming with me? There's probably something incredible down there, come on! Let's go! Right now! I wonder what's down there...do we need to bring anything? Maybe food incase we get lost...this is going to be great.

[identity profile] bloodluna.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
A few of us should go. That girl said it's as large as the mansion, down there. It's a lot of ground to cover.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
It's incredible that it could be that huge underneath without collapsing on itself. There must be some strong magic supporting it! I can't wait to see.

With a bunch of us down there though, we'll be certainly cover all of it. It would be a waste to go down there and not look around everywhere.

[identity profile] bloodluna.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
Pray that the idiot Flay hasn't weakened whatever supports it has, while down there.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Mm, true. But if it's held up by some kind of spell, then it would take a lot more than drills to knock it back down.

[identity profile] bloodluna.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
The problem comes if it isn't.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
Then we can put up spells of our own and pray they work until we escape? It's not that big of a problem. Exploring is supposed to be fun. You shouldn't worry so much!

[identity profile] bloodluna.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
I err on the side of practical.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
But that's boring. Besides, wanting to sturdy it with magic is completely practical. This place just doesn't like it very much when I try and cast spells on it, that's all.

[identity profile] bloodluna.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
So there is a negative reaction when you attempt to cast a spell on this building, and yet you expect to be able to stabilise it with a spell?

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
Who knows? Maybe it doesn't apply underground or something. And if it's already stable then nothing needs to be done at all.

[identity profile] bloodluna.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
You're as idiotic as your justice-obsessed friend.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
You just don't have any sense of fun or adventure. You should really work on that.

[identity profile] bloodluna.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
I prefer to stay alive.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
So do I! It's why I don't plan on dying anytime soon.

[identity profile] bloodluna.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
You could have fooled me.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
What? Having some adventures in a cave isn't going to kill me! I won't let it.

[identity profile] bloodluna.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
You behave far too recklessly for someone who values their life.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I'm not about to live the rest of my life in a bubble either. I'll be fine.

[identity profile] bloodluna.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Optimism is no guarantee of that.

[identity profile] exploring-game.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
Yeaaaaaaaaah! Spelunking time!

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Absolutely! We could make a party of it. A spelunking party.

[identity profile] exploring-game.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
I'll go get my galoshes and my coat and my flashlight...and my divining twig.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
Divining twig?

I think I'll just bring my wand. It'll all I'll probably need.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Really? Are you a little witch then?

[identity profile] exploring-game.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Dad called me a Twitchy Witchy girl when I was little...

But I think it was really just a silly song.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
That's a shame! You'd probably make a pretty good witch. I could see you walking around Hogwarts with the best of them.

I've never heard a of a song like that though.

[identity profile] exploring-game.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
Hogwarts? Is that an animal disease? Like Mad Cow?

I'd like to be a witch! It'd make life much more exciting.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
It's not a disease! It's a magic school for witches and wizards. Everyone is separated into houses and we're taught all kinds of different magic. It's a great place.

I don't know about that! Muggle life sounds like it's exciting too, in its own way.

[identity profile] exploring-game.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. So its like a boarding school? I've always thought a boarding school would be neater than going and coming from home.

Muggle-life? Is that...not-witch life? It's not. It's pretty dullsville. Unless you wander in on some magic, like I did.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
That's right. We're sorted off and stay with our houses for the year. It's fun, but you miss you're family when you're away that long too.

That's right. But you have plenty of things we don't, like that...electricity thing, and cars, and someone here told me that muggles figured out how to go into outer space! That's pretty impressive, if you ask me.

[identity profile] exploring-game.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
I guess so. I miss my family now, and its only been a month, but I think that's mostly 'cause I'm afraid I'll be stuck here for two whole yeaaaars

Oh! Yeah, I guess that's sort of neat. Car rides are boring, unless you're going someplace new. And that's right, there are spaceships. Only astronauts with special training get to go up in them, though.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
I know what you mean. I miss mine too, and it's been...well it hasn't been two years, I can say that. I came here last March, so...nine months or so?

Car rides aren't boring when you don't usually ride in them! And I'm sure driving is probably exciting. And I'm sure I could pass any kind of silly space tests they've got, if it meant being able to explore out there!

[identity profile] exploring-game.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
Wow. That's still a really long time.

There's a lot of explorers in this place. Maybe the mansion really likes our kind of people.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-25 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
Hm...maybe it does! But here are a lot of boring people who don't like adventure much as well.

[identity profile] badass-flayvor.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
If we get hopelessly lost, we can always drill our way back out!

So you're joining us then? Great!

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Of course! I could never pass up something like this!

Drilling back out sounds good to me, if we need to. Not that I expect to get hopelessly lost, but just in case.

Sirius is already getting things out of the closet.

[identity profile] cockofthewok.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Got the paper for mapping. Think we should do the same spell we did for the school? I think it'd be great if we did. I'm gonna bring Whiskers with us if she's up for it. I think she'd like it. What'd Moony say? He coming?

Some bloke named Flay's found a baddie to fight down there.

Shit, this is better then Christmas!

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-25 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Of course! Hopefully it'll work though. You should have seen the way things exploded the last time I tried to do something complicated here. Of course, that doesn't mean we can't try for it anyway. I'd rather use that than figure anything else out, if we can. I haven't heard from Moony yet, but I'm sure he'll come, even if we have to drag him along by the hair. And sure! Bring her along!

Really? Excellent.

It is many times better than Christmas. It's better than Christmas and both of our birthdays, all rolled up together.

[identity profile] cockofthewok.livejournal.com 2009-03-25 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
I think it will. I started mapping out mirrorside. We're going to have to see about upping the spell though. With people we don't know about popping in and out all the time we're going to have to figure out a way round that. We'll have to figure out how to put in several of one person. For the cat.

Wonder if there are baby beasties. Always wanted a baby beastie.

You're parents give great gifts.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-26 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Mm, we will. It would be like trying to map Hogwarts if Hogwarts allowed apparation and disapparation, I think. That part shouldn't be too hard. But having several of one person will be tricky. It'll be a good challenge, don't you think so?

You'd make a wonderful father to some beastie.

Of course they do! I'm here, aren't I? ...But you're right. They really do.

[identity profile] cockofthewok.livejournal.com 2009-03-26 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. I don't think it'll be too hard to alter the variables of the spell. Oh, seems like there's a half pint coming down with us. Name's Coraline. We've got to keep an eye on her. She's got the marauder spirit going for her but none of the magic.

True enoguh. You're the best pet beastie I've ever had.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-26 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
I know her! I met her right before I went over to the mirror side myself! It's a shame she's not a witch - she'd probably make a good one.

Yes, but I've been in too small a cage, I'm afraid. The only cure is exploring endless tunnels underground!

[identity profile] cockofthewok.livejournal.com 2009-03-26 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
We could try and see. They sell some weird stuff out back.

Hey, you think they got something like this underwater too? We should check that out too.

[identity profile] oncein-bluemoon.livejournal.com 2009-03-25 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait a second, James, you can't just go running head first down there! There could be all manner of unfavorable things.

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-26 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, but there could also be all manner of wonderfully exciting things! And it is apparently a part of this place, so we should be mapping it along with everything else, right?

[identity profile] oncein-bluemoon.livejournal.com 2009-03-26 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
...Well, yes, but we really need to be careful, okay?

[identity profile] pottershotter.livejournal.com 2009-03-26 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
Of course, of course. When am I ever not careful?
